Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress who has gained fame for her role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. In the late 80s when she started her acting career, and was famous for her role as Tezaab, in which she starred with the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next film was the movie Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dance from a very young age. When she was in her early years when she first started acting as a young actor, the majority of films that she made were not successful. She eventually found success and went on to become one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film business. In the aftermath of her wedding ceremony, she took a short time off from her acting career until she returned. In recent times, she was one of the main characters in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of these. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India awarded to Dixit. Her name is well-known for her charitable work as well.
